Why...
is everyone content? Sure you might want to make more money, have a bigger house, nicer car, a different/better woman or man, and other things that most people associate with progress, but none of that stuff matters. What I am talking about is being content with where they are as a person. Is it just an insecurity that makes you have to think you are doing everything right with yourself in order to make it possible to cope? Is it arrogance, or ignorance? If everyone would spend some real time working on themselves (let alone helping others improve) we would be so much better off. I know I am being vague, but it is difficult for me to describe with out a common frame of reference. It is kind of like the movie The Matrix, but much simpler, and more time consuming. With training you can become more aware of circumstances and gradually begin being able to choose instead of just being a total victim of cause and effect, or taking the red pill. There are plenty of tools that mankind has known about since time began (more or less) meditation, martial arts, introspection, study, and even CERTAIN religious practices (again I am being vague, contact me if you want more specifics) will all help us to stop being a victim, and a primitive person whose only concern is survival (food, and shelter).
If we spend time working on improving ourselves we can then work together much more effectively to solve the larger problems facing all of us. I hope none of you think I am being pretentious or arrogant as I include myself amongst the described, I just see opportunities that most people are missing and feel obligated to help be part of the solution instead of the problem (to use a cliché). Thank you for reading.
